SGA Takes on Florida
This Thursday a few of the 2016-17 Executive board members will be embarking on a trip to Florida for the National Convention for Student Activities Student Government Institute. This Institute will be a time for reflection on our past but more importantly looking toward the future of SGA at Stevenson.
You may be thinking, "who's crazy enough to go to Florida in July?!?!" Well, your Executive board is willing to deal with the humid, soup-like air and hot Florida sun just to make Student Government better at Stevenson. If that's not dedication I don't know what is.
Many of us are super excited about this opportunity and cannot wait to be surrounded by awesome student governments from all over the country. Here are a few things we are looking forward to at the Institute...
Emilee Thursby, Senior Class Representative
"I am most excited about meeting all the different members of SGA's from all over the country and hearing how their student government works. I want to be able to bounce ideas off one another and us make our student government better in general."
Taylor Joy, President
"I'm most excited about being able to connect with other student governments and to learn leadership skills to better our SGA's effectiveness for the community at Stevenson!"
During our journey make sure to stay connected with us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter! You won't want to miss our SGA adventure.
